1 Can of ripe green olives, with juice
1 Can (Large, 28 oz) of tomatoes
½-1 cup of walnuts
2-3 cloves of garlic
1 teaspoon of onion powder (can use fresh onion)
½-1 cup Fresh Basil
Italian seasoning, marjoram or oregano to taste
No additional Salt needed due to salt content in olives and tomatoes.
Blend all ingredients together until as smooth as you like.
Notes: You can use dry basil or fresh onion.
Variation: Add artichokes and olives at the end, and gently chop to leave chunky.
Sneak in a raw carrot, bell pepper, celery; very tasty!
Pour this over a plate of spirialized zucchini for a tasty rawnished "pasta" dish.
